Video-games have ruled the 21st century with new advancements to gameplay, graphics and general influence to players.

Many game franchises continue to expand as the popularity grows and to come out with new enjoyable, downloadable content for players to use to make the experience more fun to play.

The most popular games that were released in 2018 were “Red Dead Redemption 2”, ‘God of War” and “Assassins Creed: Odyssey’, all of which had well-developed characters and a good storyline. Now that is it 2019, here are some anticipated video games that will be released in the new year:

-“Life Is Strange 2 – Episode 2: Rules” on PC, PS4 and Xbox One (came out on Jan. 2)

“Life Is Strange 2” is an episodic, graphic adventure video game developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Square Enix. It is the second main entry of the “Life Is Strange” series.

-“Resident Evil 2” on PS4, Xbox One and PC (Jan. 25)

“Resident Evil 2” is a survival, horror game developed and published by Capcom. Players control police officer Leon S. Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield as they attempt to escape from Raccoon City during a zombie apocalypse.

-“Kingdom Hearts III” on PS4 and Xbox One (Jan. 29)

“Kingdom Hearts III” is an action, role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the twelfth installment in the “Kingdom Hearts” series and the final chapter in the Dark Seeker saga.

-“Far Cry: New Dawn” on PS4, Xbox One and PC (Feb. 15)

“Far Cry: New Dawn” is an upcoming first-person shooter game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. The game is a spin-off of the “Far Cry” series and a narrative sequel to “Far Cry 5”.

-“Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy” on Switch, PS4 and Xbox One (Feb. 21)

“Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney” is a visual-novel adventure video game developed by Capcom. It was released for the Game Boy Advance in 2001 in Japan and has been ported to multiple platforms.

-“The Lego Movie 2 Videogame” on Switch, PS4 and Xbox One (Feb. 26)

“The Lego Movie 2 Videogame” is an upcoming Lego-themed, action-adventure video game that is being developed by TT Fusion and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

-“Devil May Cry 5” on PS4, Xbox One and PC (March 8)

“Devil May Cry 5” is an upcoming action-adventure, hack and slash video game developed and published by Capcom. It is the fifth installment of the mainline “Devil May Cry” series.

-“Yoshi’s Crafted World” on Nintendo Switch (March 29)

“Yoshi’s Crafted World” is an upcoming side-scrolling platform video game in development by Good-Feel and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. The eighth main installment in the Yoshi franchise,

-“Mortal Kombat 11” on Switch, Xbox One, PS4, PC (April 23)

“Mortal Kombat 11” is an upcoming fighting video game developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

-“Team Sonic Racing” on PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC (May 21)

“Team Sonic Racing” is an upcoming kart racing game and a spinoff from Sega’s “Sonic the Hedgehog” series. Controlling one of fifteen characters from the series’ cast, players compete in races using sports cars.

-“Rage 2” on PS4, Xbox One and PC (May 14)

“Rage 2” is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Avalanche Studios in conjunction with id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game is the sequel to the 2010 game “Rage”.
