Winter break is almost here, which means more time to bake holiday treats.

Sometimes we don’t want to take the time to head towards the store.  When it comes to baking treats, you may have to use ingredients you have around the house already. Here are two easy DIY Christmas recipes to do with your friends or with family this holiday season:

Chocolate Chip filled Brownie Truffle

Ingredients:

  • Flour (put the amount you want to use)
  • Chocolate chips
  • Two eggs
  • ¼ cup of sugar
  • ¼ of butter
  • Brownie mix ingredients

Step 1:

Put all of the ingredients in the mixing bowl and start to mix until the chocolate chip mix is a paste. Then insert the bowl into the freezer until it gets hard.

Step 2:

Then get the brownie mix, put all the ingredients that are said in the box and mix until it is a paste. Once it’s completely mixed, put the brownie mix into a pan and in the oven at 350 degrees for about 44 minutes. Make sure the brownie isn’t burnt because you will need to make it into a ball so keep checking on it. Once the brownies are cool, flatten the brownie with a roller and cut them into squares.

Step 3:

Take out the chocolate chip dough from the freezer and make multiple rolled up sized ball and put them onto the square brownie and wrap the brownie around the cookie dough.

Step 5:

Once you wrap the cookie dough with the brownie, put them back to the freezer until they are hard. Take them out once it’s all hard and enjoy your Chocolate Chip Filled Brownie Truffle

Cookies and Cream Cheesecake

Ingredients:

  • 36 of Oreo cookies (can add more if you want)
  • Five tablespoons of melted butter
  • 28 oz cream cheese or a bar
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • One tablespoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • One cup of warm milk

Step 1:

Separate the cookie and the cream from all the Oreos. Then put the cookies into a bag and crush them into small grains then mix it with melted butter, lay the crumbs onto a rounded pan and put it aside because we will add more things to it later.

Step 2:

Get the cream from the Oreos and put it in a heated pan with the cream cheese, sugar, warm milk, and vanilla extract (if you want). Mix all them together on the heated stove/pan until there are no bumps or lumps.

Step 3:

Now get the cream mix and put it on top of the crushed cookies we had put on the side. Smooth out the cream on top of the crushed cookies, covering every inch of the pan. Once you have added all the cream,  add some more crushed cookies on top of the cream and put it inside of the freezer for about 3-4 hours until it is frozen completely. Take out the pan from the freezer, cut the cake into pieces and enjoy.
